Client demo videos, recorded for you.

Show a client what you built this week, without rehearsing a screen recording. Cutscene writes a script that greets them by name and records the demo in your app.

A Chrome extension. Free for 10 minutes of AI demos a month, and recording yourself uses no minutes.

A five-step script for Dana, a client, shown as a timeline with each step as wide as its time. It opens with "Hi Dana, here's the invite flow you asked for. Now your team can add people themselves, from the Team page that lists everyone in the workspace." and ends with "Maya now shows under Pending invites until she joins. So adding a teammate takes one email and two clicks. Let me know if you'd like any changes." The Record button shows 0:41.

Made for client work.

  • It speaks to them. The video greets the client by name and ends with a next step.
  • Their real app. It records staging or production, signed in as you. No test account.
  • You approve every line. Nothing records until you press Record.
  • One private link. Captions, a transcript and an optional password.
  • See who watched. How many times and how far they got: viewers signed in to Cutscene by name, others as a count.
  • Link previews. In Slack, Linear and iMessage the link shows the title, the length, a frame and your name if you've added one (not for password-protected videos).

How it works.

  1. Describe what you built. A few sentences, and who it's for. Or let Claude Code send it.
  2. Check the script. Edit any line. Record shows how long the video runs.
  3. It records. In your signed-in tab. Steps only you can do become your turn.
  4. Send the link. It is copied for you when the take ends; a Copy button is there too.

Recording and keeping videos.

  • Each recording can run up to 2 hours, and recording yourself never uses minutes.
  • No watermark in your videos or MP4 downloads, on any plan.
  • Nothing is lost if the connection drops: the take is kept in your browser until the upload finishes.

Free keeps up to 100 videos: recordings up to 10 minutes until you delete them, longer ones for 7 days. Pro keeps every video until you delete it.

For agencies.

  • Cutscene acts only on sites you allow, such as each client's staging site.
  • A demo can cross tabs: capture a test payment in your payment provider's dashboard tab, then show the result in the app. It uses tabs you already have open (up to three).
  • It waits for webhooks, jobs and emails to land before it carries on.
  • On Pro, share pages drop the Made with Cutscene link.

Questions.

Something else? Write to hello@trycutscene.com.

Do I need a test account?

No. Cutscene records in your own Chrome, signed in as you. Open it with data the client may see.

Can I keep the video between me and the client?

Yes. Share links cannot be guessed, and you can add a password.

Will I know if the client watched it?

A view counts when the video plays. Viewers signed in to Cutscene show by name; others as a count.

Can I talk in the video myself?

Yes. Steps the AI can't do become your turn: you do them and talk, in the same video.

More about Cutscene

Cutscene is a Chrome extension that writes a script and records a narrated, auto-zoomed demo video of the app you built, in your own signed-in browser. It is for developers who need to show what they built: freelancers and agencies showing clients their progress, and small product teams showing a release to their team or users. Free includes 10 minutes of AI demos a month, and recording yourself uses no minutes. Pro is $15 a month, or $144 a year, for 120 minutes. Extra minutes are $8 for 60. Paid plans open soon.

Your next demo, recorded for you.

Describe what you built and approve the script. Cutscene records it and hands you the link.
